Grace is a Senior Associate in the Corporate Advisory team, based in Auckland.

Grace advises on a range of corporate transactions, including acquisitions and disposals, joint venture and shareholder arrangements, other direct and indirect investment structures, as well as general corporate and securities law issues.

Grace rejoined Russell McVeagh in early 2024 after almost four years working in London for global law firm Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (BCLP). During her time at BCLP in the corporate real estate and investment funds team, she gained particular experience advising clients in respect of corporate transactions in the real estate and alternative investment sectors.

Grace started her legal career as a Solicitor in Russell McVeagh's Corporate Advisory team. She worked at BCLP in London as a Senior Associate in the corporate real estate and investment funds team before returning to Russell McVeagh in early 2024. She speaks Cantonese.

Mergers and Acquisitions / Joint Venture:

  • A US REIT on its €1 billion structured disposal of a large portfolio of PBSA assets in Spain and Portugal, including the buy-out of downstream JV partners and various refinancings.

  • AXA Investment Management on the establishment of two landmark joint ventures with Homes England and Hyde Housing Association to deliver social housing in England through a ten-year partnership.

  • CPPIB and APG on the establishment of two new partnerships with Goodman Group to invest in prime logistics and industrial real estate in the UK, with total commitments across the partnerships totalling £900 million.

  • Goldman Sachs on the sale of a logistics portfolio, comprising ten logistics assets across the UK in the industrial space.

  • African Capital Alliance and Capital Alliance Private Equity Fund IV on the acquisition of its 31% stake in Food Concepts.

  • Federated Hermes on its various joint venture arrangements with CPPIB to develop Paradise Circus (Birmingham) business park.

  • Great Portland Estate Plc on its acquisition of Soho Square Estate.

  • LaSalle and three pension funds on the sale of the corporate structure holding a portfolio of UK’s first stabilised build to rent assets.

  • Auckland International Airport on its joint venture with Tainui Group Holdings to develop and operate Novotel Auckland Airport Tainui Hotel.
