Bevan has a broad financing practice with a particular focus on project finance and the infrastructure and energy sectors. He brings a wealth of experience from working on innovative and complex financing and infrastructure transactions in New Zealand and international markets. He has extensive experience advising international and domestic financial institutions, corporate borrowers and sponsors on a wide range of transactions including project finance (including public private partnerships), corporate lending, acquisition/leveraged finance, development finance and restructuring.
Bevan regularly advises on the financing of New Zealand's largest and most complex infrastructure projects, including energy, roading, housing, schools, prisons and telecommunications infrastructure. He is the author of the New Zealand chapter of Lexology In-Depth: Public-Private Partnerships Edition 10.
Bevan began his career at Russell McVeagh and returned to the firm in 2017 after spending over eight years in London. During his time overseas, Bevan practised in the financing team at Slaughter and May and in the international project finance team at Norton Rose Fulbright LLP.
