Russell McVeagh is honoured to be a 'Deal Team of the Year' finalist for the 2019 NZ Law Awards and we are thrilled to see partner Liz Blythe is a contender for 'Young Private Practice Lawyer of the Year'.

The firm's ongoing involvement in some of the country's most high profile and innovative transactions has also seen Russell McVeagh pick up 12 finalist nominations for the deal awards.

For 'M&A Deal of the Year', the firm has been recognised for its involvement in four of the six deals that are finalists in this category, including intelliHub's acquisition of Metrix from Mercury Energy, for which the corporate team advised intelliHub. Russell McVeagh's advisory role to Commonwealth Bank of Australia in AIA's acquisition of Sovereign has also put the firm in the running for International Deal of the Year, alongside Carlyle's acquisition of Accolade Wines, for which the firm advised Carlyle on the New Zealand aspects of the acquisition. For the full list of finalists, see here.

We would like to wish all finalists the best of luck for 21 November, when the 2019 NZ Law Awards ceremony will be held at the Cordis in Auckland.
