Russell McVeagh partners David Hoare and Brendan Brown have been named two of the ‘hottest’ private practice lawyers working in the Australasian legal market, as published in the latest edition of Australasian Lawyer magazine’s 2016 ‘Hot List’.
The feature seeks to profile lawyers who have stood out among their peers in some way – not only deals, but all individual achievements considered.
The magazine quotes: “David Hoare is chair of the firm’s board of management and widely respected as the New Zealand corporate legal adviser of choice for a number of the firm’s premier clients...”
“Brendan Brown heads Russell McVeagh’s tax team and has recently been at the forefront of a number of the most important developments affecting the New Zealand market. He has led the team acting on a number of significant tax cases before the courts...”
To be included in this list is a significant achievement, and adds to the recognition which Russell McVeagh partners Deemple Budhia and Pip Greenwood received earlier this year, with their inclusion in the NZ Lawyer magazine's 2016 'Hot List'.
Deemple was described as, “one of New Zealand’s leading experts in regulatory capital...”
Pip was recognised as “a leading figure in the business community and also in the move towards greater diversity, through her dedication and involvement in seminars, speaker engagements and acting as a mentor for women...”
Russell McVeagh extends congratulations to both David and Brendan for this recent accolade.
