Russell McVeagh is delighted so many of its leading speciality areas have been ranked in the number one spot by Chambers and Partners Asia-Pacific 2022 Guide again this year, including the firm's Banking and Finance, Corporate Advisory, Competition and Antitrust, Real Estate and Tax teams.
The firm's EPNR practice was also named in the guide in Chambers' new 'Environment & Resource Management' category, where previously only individual lawyers could be ranked in this area, while several individual Russell McVeagh partners moved up in their rankings, including:
-
Deemple Budhia, who was named in Band 1 in Banking and Finance;
-
Daniel Minhinnick Band 3 in Environment & Resource Management; and
-
Anna Crosbie Band 4 in Real Estate.
Partner Joe Edwards received a first-time ranking in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) practice area.
They join other Russell McVeagh lawyers who maintained their top rankings this year, including Guy Lethbridge (Banking and Finance - ranked 'Eminent Practitioner' for a second year), Tim Clarke (Public Law), Ed Crook and David Butler (Real Estate), Matthew Kersey (Restructuring and Insolvency), and Fred Ward (Tax) who are all Band 1 ranked lawyers.
Russell McVeagh CEO Jo Avenell said, "Our teams work collaboratively for our clients which strengthens our full-service offering. It's fantastic to see so many of our lawyers across the firm being recognised and receiving outstanding feedback as part of this independent research process".
We would like to congratulate everyone on their rankings results this year and in particular thank our clients and peers for providing Chambers' researchers with feedback on our firm as part of their independent research process.
Some of the feedback received from this year included:
"The practice's strength is the calibre of the lawyers and range of their disciplines and specialisms."
"The quality of the advice received was a real standout."
"Head and shoulders above any other that I deal with."
"The quality of the advice and the availability of appropriate lawyers, at differing levels, for the required tasks ensured that the transaction was progressed as seamlessly as possible. This was maintained throughout the entire transaction, which can be rare for a leading law firm with a large client base."
"Goes above and beyond in the client care space."
