Russell McVeagh continues to grow its market-leading National Real Estate & Construction team, with the addition of a new Special Counsel, Kendra Wilson. Kendra will be supporting recent arrival, Partner Doran Wyatt, who joined the firm earlier this month and is based in the firm's Wellington office.
Kendra has spent most of her career to date at another national firm where she advised public and private sector clients on a wide range of commercial and commercial property matters, including large-scale property acquisitions and disposals, commercial leasing, and developments. Kendra is known for achieving desired outcomes, delivering on promises and developing excellent relationships with colleagues and clients.
Highlights of Kendra's work in recent years includes advising various Crown agencies in respect of their leasing portfolios and new office developments; being the key legal advisor to a council-controlled organisation in respect of its acquisitions, developments and subdivisions; and advising telecommunication providers in respect of their network and retail leasing portfolios and asset transfers.
Kendra takes a particular interest in large-scale developments and provides advice in respect of various subdivision issues and the incorporation of residents’ societies. Kendra also has experience working in-house at one of New Zealand’s top 10 NZX companies.
"We are delighted to have Kendra join our growing Real Estate and Construction practice," said Real Estate and Construction Practice Group Chair Sarah Blackmore. "Kendra and Doran bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team and we're all excited to work alongside them to build Russell McVeagh's Real Estate and Construction presence in the capital."
