Russell McVeagh is expanding its Employment team with the hire of Senior Associate, Kieron Creagh. Kieron joins the firm having spent the last three years at EY Law where she advised New Zealand based and international clients on a broad range of matters throughout the employment relationship. She has previously spent a number of years working abroad in Australia and in the UK, including at FCB Group and McCullough Robertson in Brisbane, and HSBC in London.
Kieron's experience includes advising clients on a number of complex and challenging issues, including workplace investigations, wage compliance projects, COVID-19 related legal implications, restructures, and dispute matters. The calibre of her work was recognised in 2022 by NZ Lawyer when she appeared on its annual Rising Stars list alongside Russell McVeagh's Lauren Rapley (Eaton) (Environment, Planning & Natural Resources) and Matthew Consedine (Banking & Finance).
"Kieron is an excellent addition to our team, bringing experience from working across a complex employment landscape, and an ever-changing one with the issues seen over the last few years with the challenges COVID-19 has presented," Employment partner Kylie Dunn said. "She is highly rated in the market and we're very excited to have her on board to help support our clients and team."
Kieron's addition follows on from the firm's recent announcement of a new partner, Doran Wyatt, and special counsel, Kendra Wilson, joining its Real Estate & Construction group based in the firm's Wellington office.
