Our Corporate Advisory partners Cath Shirley-Brown and David Raudkivi have contributed the New Zealand Chapter of ICLG - Mergers & Acquisitions Laws and Regulations, which covers common issues in New Zealand's public M&A laws and regulations, including relevant authorities and legislation, target defences, bidder protection, and mechanics of acquisition.
Cath Shirley-Brown specialises in public and private M&A (including distressed transactions), joint venture and shareholder arrangements, and corporate and commercial law generally. She has experience advising clients across a wide range of industries, and a dvising central and local government entities on corporate and commercial matters, and specific expertise in advising on cross-border transactions.
David Raukivi is the National Practice Group Chair for Russell McVeagh's Corporate Advisory Group. He focuses on capital markets, M&A, takeovers, private equity, shareholder activism and other corporate matters. He is highly regarded in the New Zealand market for his expertise in public company transactions, including significant initial public offerings, secondary capital raisings, block trades, takeovers and schemes of arrangement.
